Basic education
To be allowed to transport goods or passengers by heavy truck or bus, the driver must have a professional competence certificate in addition to a driving license for the type of vehicle.
A certificate of professional competence is obtained after completing basic training. The training must be completed with a passing written test. The basic training is 280 hours or a shortened basic training of 140 hours, depending on the driver's age.
The basic training must include at least 20 hours of driving training. The shortened basic training must include at least 10 hours of driving training.
The training is provided by trainers who are licensed to conduct training, as well as by upper secondary schools and municipal adult education, which provide training according to a nationally established curriculum. The test is usually taken at the Swedish Transport Administration's driver testing office.
The shorter basic training, which is 140 hours, is intended for those who are 23 years old* and older and are training to become a driver for passenger transport by bus or for those who are 21 years old and older and are training to become a driver for goods transport by heavy truck.

Please note that you can only take the test in Swedish at the Swedish Transport Administration.
Allow a minimum of 5 days to complete all computer exercises and tests. You may need more days for revision. Revision is free for up to 3 months.

The price is valid until the theory test is passed but not longer than 3 months.
EXTENSION:
If you wish to extend your time with us, you can purchase an extra 3 months for 1500 SEK.
